The project
Gastronomy represents an opportunity to activate intercultural creative meetings and add value to cultural differences. Love Difference invites confectioners, chefs, artists to create sweets, with the aim of creating Love Difference Confectioneries in Mediterranean regions.

“Love Difference Pastries” represents the next step of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Love Difference Ice-cream project. The Love Difference Ice-cream (made of Halva flavour, i.e. a kind of sesame pastry commonly used in Arab countries in the Mediterranean and Balkan areas) represents, according to the words of the artist, a Cultural Passport within the Mediterranean, as it symbolizes the intercultural dialogue between two different traditions of this area.

The meeting will be the first occasion of dialogue and exchange for the artists and the confectioners, who will be invited to draw the plan of the project “Love Difference Pastries” in terms of production, diffusion and promotion.

The project is promoted by Love Difference, Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, in collaboration with the CAMeC, Museum of Contemporary Art in La Spezia.

Participations to the event will be upon presentation of credits; please, send requests to the e-mail address info@lovedifference.org.
